I am truly sorry and saddened by the loss of Bill. He was a pleasure to work with, and a true gentleman and professional in the work place. I know Bill best on the golf course. I've had the pleasure of playing golf with him numerous times, such as at the NCC graduation day golf outing. We had a tried and true foursome for several years for the Middlesex Community College annual golf fund raiser for their foundation. We won that tournament several times mainly for Bill's expertise at the game. Talking to Bill, you would never know how good of a golfer he was as he was humble and gracious (a rare trait for most). Truly a great man, God Bless Bill and all his loved ones...

To Bill’s family, so sorry for your loss. Bill was a very respectful person to work with. Not only did he care for the students, but the students knew they had an ally rooting for them. Bill was always respectful toward the faculty & professional staff. He was always available to assist all who came to him. A quiet soul who will be missed at NCC. REST IN PEACE Bill. See you on the other side.

I worked with Bill for many years at NCC, but I became most familiar with him during my time as 4Cs president. It was during this period that I had the pleasure of working with Bill in his capacity as president of AFSCME Local 2480. He was a warrior for his members and an exceptionally fine union brother. Whenever we jointly dealt with management's representatives, my aggravation at their behaviors was tempered by Bill's calm demeanor. I will miss him. I offer my condolences to his wife and to the many others whose lives he touched.

Bill was a decent gent in the best definitions of those words. He always had a bright welcoming smile, a kind word and a helping hand for everyone. My heartfelt condolences to Bill's wife and family. The world and the NCC family are diminished with his passing.

Bill will be missed by so many. I worked with Bill when I was director of admissions at Northwestern CT Community College and later when I was the transfer counselor at St. Joe's.
I admired Bill for his passion for serving students, particularly those going into nursing as he created an evaluation spreadsheet to streamline the application process. Later I saw him in action with students at college fairs and I appreciated his dedication as well as his humor and wit.
Bill was a good friend and colleague to so many, but I will remember how kind and helpful he was to me.
My condolences to Laurie and the Chagnon family, friends and colleagues, and all whose lives he touched.

I worked with Bill when we were both Admissions Director's for over 14 years.
He brought honesty, wit and compassion to every Admissions Council Meeting.
Sorry that he had to leave this earth much too early.
Deepest sympathy to his wife, family and friends.
