Alice Turfay Lazaro, wife of the late Clarence E. Lazaro, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020. Born in Bridgeport on July 12, 1929, the daughter of the late John and Alice Turfay, Alice had been a Bridgeport resident for most of her life. Mrs. Lazaro had worked for Woodfield Family Services for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed politics and political debate, WWII history, big band music, dancing, classic movies, geneology and crossword puzzles. More than anything, Alice loved the times that she spent with her family. A loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Iuso and her significant other, Pete Fatsy of Shelton, a son Michael Lazaro of Nevada, grandchildren Melissa Pote and her husband Jeff, Kelley and Nicholas Lazaro, her great-grandson Weston Pote, a sister Kathleen Pouliot of Middletown, NJ as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son John Lazaro, a brother John Turfay and sister Marion O'Neill. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with burial to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alice's memory to the Ct.
