Zoltán Ferenczi, beloved brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, in Gyor, Hungary at the age of 87.
Zoli was born in 1937 in Hungary, the oldest child of the late Dénes and Lidia Ferenczi. Along with his parents, younger sister Eva, and cousins he emigrated to the
United States in 1956, living first in Norwalk, and subsequently relocating with his family to Fairfield, CT. Later in his life he returned to Hungary to care for his elderly mother.
Zoli worked in the textile industry both in the US and Hungary. He loved listening to music, was an avid reader and spoke three languages. He was a master gardener and botanist and was most happy outdoors. The garden was truly his paradise. He will be remembered for his selfless kindness and ever-present smile.
Zoli will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sister Eva Olah, niece Dr. Eva Olah, nephew Imre Olah and countless friends.
The family will be holding private services arranged by Lesko Funeral Home.
