Obituary of Dennis M. Fazekas

Dennis Michael Fazekas of Bristol, CT, beloved brother of Judith Fazekas of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at Countryside Manor of Bristol, Connecticut. He was 81 years old. Dennis was born in Bridgeport and resided in Fairfield in his youth. He relocated to the Plainville/Bristol area where he was employed as a bowling machine operator at several bowling alleys in the area. Dennis was an avid bowler and angler. He loved spending leisure time boating and fishing with friends in Connecticut and New York state. He also enjoyed his annual vegetable garden. In addition to his sister, Dennis is survived by niece Karen Bollert of Trumbull, nephews Andrew Fazekas of Port Charlotte, FL., Charles Fazekas of Woodbury, Peter Fazekas of Stratford, and Robert L. Fazekas of Aiken, SC. and many grandnieces and grandnephews, also sister-in-law Joan Fazekas of Stratford. He is preceded in death by his mother Helen, brothers Andrew, Charles and Robert, his uncle Harry Kirsch and sister-in-law Anna Fazekas. Dennis was loved and will be sadly missed. Dennis's funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 6th, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Fairfield. Services will continue to Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport where he will be laid to rest. Those wishing to honor Dennis may make contributions to the New England Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
