Obituary of Elise Campbell

Elise Campbell, 73, of Milford, DE, our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on May 16, 2024 after a brief illness.
Born on June 16, 1950 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Marion Horvath and the late Clarence "Cal" Campbell. Her early years were spent in Bridgeport, moving to Monroe at age 11, where she lived for 59 years. She graduated from Masuk High School in Monroe and The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Elise worked for Child Evangelical Fellowship for many years as a teacher trainer and doing Good News Bible Clubs in Bridgeport and across the state. Before retiring, Elise worked for several years at Irving School in Derby as a paraprofessional. There she had a great love for the children she worked with. Elise was very active in the churches she belonged to, including North Park Baptist Church in Bridgeport and Faith Community Church in Milford, DE. She was a true animal lover and was a wonderful cat mom to her many rescue cats.
Elise is survived by her sister, Paula Morgan, of Monroe; her half-brother, Lawrence Campbell, of Milford; her half-sister, Janette Campbell, of Shelton; her two nephews, Christian Morgan and Jason Morgan, both of Monroe. Elise is also survived by her great nephew, Michael Morgan, of Monroe; great nieces, Kimberly Morgan, of Monroe, MacKenzie Morgan and Carlie Morgan, of Cumming, GA, and Allie Moore, of McDonagh, GA; and cousin, Martha Schipul, of Venice, FL. She will also be very much missed by her dear friend, Patsy Mitchell, of Milford, DE. In addition to her parents, Elise was predeceased by a half-brother, Jeffrey Campbell.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service to be held at North Park Baptist Church, 5200 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604, on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. There will be an opportunity to greet the family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
