Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
George Gary Clark, age 78, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Denise Rose Clark, entered into eternal life on April 2, 2024. Son of the late Frank J. Clark and Margaret McCabe Clark, Gary grew up in Fairfield and spent the last 40 years living in Bridgeport. He was a 1963 graduate of Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield and went on to attend Paier College of Art in Hamden. Gary took great pleasure in photography, drawing, painting, collecting model classic cars, and babysitting his granddaughter, Melody, who was the light of his life. Gary loved Elvis Presley, the New York Yankees, and the New York Giants. His favorite Yankee was Mickey Mantle and his favorite Giant was Phil Simms. For the last several years, he would meet up with his high school friends at Duchess on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield every Tuesday, where they would chat about current events and reminisce about the old days. During the last few months of his life, Gary enjoyed doing puzzles with his family. They completed roughly seven puzzles ranging from 300 to 500 pieces each. In addition to his loving wife, Denise, Gary's memory will be lovingly remembered by his son, Gary Clark, and his wife, Holly Sorbo; and his adored granddaughter, Melody Clark, all of Shelton. All services will be held privately. To sign his online guest register, please visit
