Obituary of Mary Hsieh

Mary Wang Hsieh, age 91, of Southport, beloved wife of the late Dr. Jui Sheng Hsieh, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 1, 2024. Mary was born in Beijing, China, on January 16,1932 to the late Hwa Lung Wang and Shu Shiang Hsia and earned her Bachelor's Degree from National Taiwan Normal University, where she majored in Geography and furthered her studies at Japan Educational University, where she earned her Master's Degree. A devoted wife and mother, Mary's memory will be lovingly remembered by her family, Lawrence and Janice Hsieh, of Southport, Esther and William Hou, of Burlingame, CA, Vivian and Tad Haley, of New Canaan, Jenny Wang, of Maryland, Betty Wang, of Maryland, 10 grandchildren, and many other beloved family members. In addition to her loving husband, Dr. Jui Sheng Hsieh, Mary was predeceased by family members, Maria Wang, George Wang, Joseph Wang, and John Wang. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Luke Church, 49 Turkey Hill Road North, Westport, CT 06880. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Luke Church.
