To my dear family,
Together we mourn the passing of my Uncle Jimmy, who now rests in the loving embrace of God’s glory. It is hard to imagine a world without my Uncle in it, and in his absence, we extend our most heartfelt condolences to the rest of our family and friends who also feel this profound loss.
Growing up, Uncle Jimmy was always a kind-hearted, fun loving man that loved his family, and especially his daughter, Courtney, above all else. I sincerely believe that it was his love for family that kept him fighting even in the most dire of circumstances. Because of his iron will and perservance, Uncle Jimmy was able to watch his beloved daughter marry a man that any father would be proud to call a son in-law (a special thank you to Brian for giving him that peace of mind).
I will never forget how strong Uncle Jimmy was, right until the end. He amazed doctors and nurses alike with the strength he was able to summon and continue fighting this horrible disease. I pray that in our gravest moments, we are all given the courage to fight as hard and bravely as my Uncle did. This life has not been easy for him, yet I can confidently say that he has made many lives brighter, whether that was through his great sense of humor, many masterfully completed carpentry jobs, the kindness he expressed for his animal friends, and his willingness to help with just about anything.
In one of my last visits in Connecticut with my then fiancé-now-husband, Victor, we were admiring one of my grandma’s several fig trees when, without missing a beat, Uncle Jimmy cut off two branches and bundled up the shoots for our travels back to Florida. It was true that he developed quite the green thumb in his later years, and thanks to his care and guidance, and a few weird looks on the airplane later, Victor and I are so lucky to always think of him whenever we enjoy the figs from those fruit trees.
Though this is a time of great sadness for both my family and I, I pray that we can all take comfort in the fact that Jimmy is no longer suffering. We pray for him to enjoy a restful and eternal peace under God’s loving care. We send our love and deepest sympathies to all those mourning the loss of Uncle Jimmy, with special mention for my Mom (Patty), Aunt Eileen, Grandma, Poppi, and Courtney. I so admire each and every one of you for all your incredible efforts in caring for Uncle Jimmy during the incredibly difficult last chapter of his life, and I am so proud to call you my family.
May God continue to watch over us all and embrace Uncle Jimmy into the glory of His Kingdom.
All our love,
Kaitie, Victor, and Myla Fernandez

Jimmy was my incredible former son-in-law who I loved as a son. I will miss his calls and conversations when he always started with "Hi Ma".) A kind, gentle man whose life was devoted to his precious daughter, Courtney. Never a day went by when he either spoke with her or was with her. He was also a father figure to his daughter's brother, Ferdy, and sister, Monique. My heart is with his Mom and Dad; I truly know the loss and pain of their beautiful and loving son, Jimmy. May God show mercy on them as they grieve forever until they join him again.

Mr & Mrs Coyne, Eileen, Patty , Courtney and Brian,
Our deepest condolences for the loss of Jimmy. We have so many fond memories … always smiling , telling stories and that bellowing laugh. It’s true he was always ready to lend a hand or a tool or cook a meal and always had a runner or mat that he would drop off because he said the last time he was over he noticed we needed one for the hall. Our camping days are still vivid in our minds. His generous heart and love for people will be what we remember and love most about him. We know he suffered in this life , may he be content and in peace now . Wishing you comfort and peace as well . Love , Mario &Lana Pirulli ❤️

Dear Mr & Mrs Coyne, Eileen, Patty, and Courtney,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of Jimmy. He was a dear friend in high school. He had the bluest eyes and brightest smile that I’ll never forget. Yes, we dated for awhile freshman year. ;) He was quite the charmer. He knew how to make everyone laugh and he could talk your ear off but I didn’t mind since we had that in common! He had the kindest heart and wouldn’t hurt a soul. I will never forget him. I’m so thankful to Teresa for allowing me to say goodbye to him. It meant so much to me. May your sweet memories of him comfort you and bring you peace. Fondly, Tracy Alterio

Dear Betty, Ed and Family, I am so very sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. I have so many beautiful and cherished memories of him and the girls, and your front porch on Gurdon Street. They were happy times. My favorite memory of him is when he knocked on my back door. His knock was so endearing to me. I never had to ask who it was, I always knew. He would tip toe in, walk to the window in my living room, stand on his tip toes and wait for Andrea's bus to drop her off from school. I will never forget him. May he rest in Peace.
