Obituary of Sandra Marie Fales

Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sandra M. Fales (nee Sansone), of Fairfield, CT, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023, after a brief illness at the age of 83. Her early years were spent in Stamford and Darien; she then raised her family in New Canaan and later lived in Easton and Fairfield. She worked at Pitney Bowes for over 25 years and enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, and, most importantly, spending time with family after retirement. Sandy was the quiet, calm hand that supported her family. Always unflappable, even during the hardest of challenges. She was fortunate to always be surrounded by her loved ones, including her three children: Cindy (Fales) and Bill Coward of Easton, John and Susan Fales of Darien, Susan (Fales) and Bill Tweedy of Fairfield; her adored grandchildren: Jack Coward, Wesley Fales, Catherine Tweedy, Meredith Tweedy, Johnny Fales, Sloane Fales and her wonderful sisters Laurie Lyon and Florence Sansone. She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Bruce Fales, and her parents, Catherine and Peter Sansone. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 22nd, from 4-6 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, with a prayer service officiated at 5:30.
