Obituary of Jeannette Kolagic

Jeannette Kolagic, age 90, devoted wife of the late Edward J. Kolagic, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2018.

Jeannette's  memory will be embraced by her family including three children, Janice Tuttle and her husband Julian, of Sudbury, MA, Edward G. Kolagic and his companion Alexis Kiss, of Fairfield, Jill Kolagic-DeLaurentis, of Fairfield; four grandchildren, Kristen Goldman and her husband Marc, Matthew Tuttle, Ryan and Shaye DeLaurentis; one great granddaughter, Samantha Goldman; one brother, Roy Gifford and his wife Rose, of Clinton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one grandson, Sean Fahey, and four siblings, William Gifford, Claire Walko, Lillian Lipnickas, and Rita Camp.

Born in Fall River, MA, she moved to Bridgeport with her family and was a graduate of Bassick High School, Class of 1945. Jeannette worked as a clerk in Bridgeport's Registrar of Voters and was a secretary to the Director of Adult Education for the City of Bridgeport until her retirement. Jeannette's life passions encompassed her family, friends, travel, and listening to Classical and Big Band era music.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1030 AM in Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, with interment to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
