Obituary of Neil L. Rapawy

Neil Lawrence Rapawy, of Weston, CT, beloved husband of Amy Ballantyne Rapawy, died Sunday, January 29, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He was 50 years old.
Born and raised in Westchester, he attended Fordham Preparatory School and was an Eagle Scout. After his 1994 graduation from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, his tours of duty included service on the guided missile frigate USS Estocin (FFG15) and in Kosovo in the late 1990s.
Upon returning to civilian life, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry and in finance and accounting, most recently as Vice President of Finance at Certified Site Safety in White Plains, NY.
In addition to his devoted wife of 18 years, Amy, Neil will be lovingly remembered by his two children, Cooper and Harper, of Weston. Other survivors include a brother, John (Lainee) Rapawy; nieces Ella and Emilia and a nephew, Anthony, all of Staten Island, NY; an aunt, Geri LaMura of Eastchester, NY; an uncle, Anthony LaMura, of Stamford, CT; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Ernestine (LaMura) Rapawy.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. A memorial will take place at 11:30 a.m. followed by full Military Honors. Interment will be held privately.
