William E. Brilvitch, age 90, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Marie Rose Markunas Brilvitch, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Born in Bridgeport to the late Albert and Nellie Shatkus Brilvitch, Bill had worked as an insurance salesman and as a grocery manager at Hills and Pathmark Grocery Stores until his well earned retirement. Bill was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Knights of Lithuania, and a volunteer for the Special Olympics. He was an avid bowler, New York Mets fan, stamp & coin collector, and took great pleasure in reading, crossword puzzles, and playing poker. He especially loved to spend time with his "Little Munchkin", his granddaughter, Elaina. Bill's memory will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Ann Marie Ott, of St. Mary's, GA; sons, Peter Brilvitch, of Shelton and Paul Brilvitch, of Cheshire; a sister-in-law, Roseann Markunas, of Shenandoah, PA; son and daughters-in-law, Mike, Veronica, Melissa, and April; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Jennifer, Nicole, and Elaina. In addition to his loving wife, Marie, Bill was predeceased by a son, William David Brilvitch. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.
