Leisa I feel like I knew you forever. We shared some good memories and some bad ones. You would babysit my girls so Steve and I could go out. They loved you so much. You would always bring them secret prizes. And then when it came time for Cassidy to learn to drive you taught her.She was crazy about you. And would be so upset if you weren’t the person taking her out to drive.
All of Karen’s party’s we sat together and chatted. I’ll miss our chats. I know you’re in haven with all the puppies. Rest in peace my friend.

I am very sad to hear of your loss. I was Leisa's neighbor for many years! We shared the same passion for the love of flowers, dogs and the beach! She watched my son grow up as well. I will share a poem that is fitting...
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain,
When you awaken in
the mornings' hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starshine at night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die

We have shared a lifetime of memories! Where do I begin? My first thoughts are spending time at Calvin United Church of Christ that was such a great foundation for us all (even though we still got into trouble for something :) ) Our parents being involved made it a fun fellowship. Whether it be coffee hour after church, bowling in the basement, the rock-a-thon we had where we listened to John Denver's Country Roads 500 times while rocking in the rocking chairs. Then we joined a mixed bowling league where we bowled for years! What were we thinking?? We did have some crazy fun though! That is where you earned your nickname "GB" from bowling one night and getting a lot of gutter balls! Who knew that nick name would stick for almost 40 years! You even signed all your cards & letters Love GB! We were together in so many life events. Weddings, Christenings, birthdays, New Years, Deaths of friends & family. We were even roommates for awhile when you moved into the apartment above me on Eaton St. That is when we got our brother & sister ferral cats Rhett & Ashley that lived a life of over 20 years with us! And oh yes! That night you snuck CoCo the chocolate lab puppy under your coat so the landlord wouldn't see him! Unfortunately CoCo didnt stay little for long! You were always there for everyone without hesitation! You loved to babysit and loved all the kids! You always wanted kids of your own & I knew that pain you carried when you were unable to have kids of your own. Your bark was definitely worse than your bite but that's what made you "you"! I never knew what would come flying out of that mouth of yours! Although you may have been perceived as "rough around the edges" that heart of yours was insurmountable! You never had to be asked twice to help someone. Even if you weren't asked you were there! You were the animal rescuer giving a warm home to an animal in need! I know you are ok where you are because we often talked about Jesus and how we imagined heaven would be when talking about our parents! I am going to miss our talks! We would be on the phone for hours :) Your favorite things were clowns & hearts and I think of you whenever I see them! Until I see you again, you will always be GB! That reunion when you entered heaven had to be incredible! To my beautiful cousin, sister, friend Happy Trails! Until we meet again.

Very sad to hear of her passing last week. She was a fixture at the Walnut Beach Concerts and was liked by everyone. She will be missed by those of us who were there with her during the shows. Now she belongs to the ages....

My deepest sympathy to Lisa's family and to Dave.
Lisa was such a warm and loving person. I feel
blessed to have known her. She was a wonderful
friend and so much fun to be with. Her kindness
to others and animals was so special. She also
did so much for the Walnut Beach Association
over the years.
I pray she will be reunited with the people and
pets that she loved.....she will be missed here.

To the Gazdik family, our deepest condolences. I cannot believe our Leisa has left us so soon. The grief you are all feeling is heavy in our hearts too we loved her and will miss her so much.
There are countless memories that despite this significant loss still make me smile. From the beach at Seaside Park to cookouts on the 4th of July in the backyard to the Garvey-Gazdik trip to Washington DC in the station wagon to the Barnum festival, to being a stow away in the family car at the end of a long day together, the cave at Girl Scouts in Christ Church and going to Ollie Pops in Bridgeport after being forbidden from going there only to have a fight break out! Leisa was always there and no matter how much time had passed we picked up right where we left off. It was my honor to have her in my wedding and she made fast friends with Steve.
May God bless her until we meet again.
Love you all
Auntie Kathy, Kimmie, Steve and Don.
