Obituary of Rita B. Altieri

Rita Buynak Altieri, age 90 of Bridgeport, wife of the late Henry A. Altieri, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Pekar Buynak, Rita was a Fairfield Town resident for many years.
Rita was an excellent homemaker and caregiver, not only for her husband and daughter but for her extended family. She was always aware of the needs of others.
She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Attorney Maria Altieri of Bridgeport as well as many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her siblings William Buynak, Andrew Buynak, Emil Buynak, John Buynak, Mary Buynak Inzeo, Irene Buynak McCarthy, Frances Buynak Reade, Anna Buynak Alfano, Elizabeth Buynak, Rose Buynak, Theresa Buynak and Dorothy Buynak.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 6 at the Ecco Restaurant, 6540 Main St., Trumbull at 1 pm.
Her interment will be held privately. Arrangements in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
