Obituary of John S. Toth

John Stephen Toth, age 91, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Margaret Maulshagen Toth, entered into eternal life on September 29, 2022.
Born in Fords, NJ to the late William and Isabel Andrassy Toth, John was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Seton Hall University, and the Academy of Advanced Traffic. John proudly served his country in the United States Navy where he was a Quarter Master First Class. After his service, John had worked for Dow Chemical, Celanese Chemical, and Glyco, which became Lonza Corp. where he was a traffic and purchasing manager.
He was a member of the Elks and Knights of Columbus and loved his Yankees, Giants, and UConn Women's Basketball. Most of all, John loved all of his grandchildren and was very proud of all of them and took great pleasure in watching them play sports.
In addition to his loving wife, Margaret, John's memory will be lovingly remembered by his three children, Michael Toth, and his wife, Edith, of Bridgeport, Teresa Toth Ford, and her husband, Terence, of Naugatuck, and John Toth, and his wife, Alison, of Duncan, SC; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Ford, of Portland, OR, Colleen Teres, and her husband, Kevin, of Tucson, AZ, Maribeth Ford, of Naugatuck, Fr. Christopher Ford, of Monroe, Lauren Toth and her fiancé, Ryan, of Simpsonville, SC, Meghan Toth, of Bristol, and Michael Stanley Toth, of Fairfield; a great-granddaughter, Addilyn Teres, of Tucson, AZ; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Marguerite Toth Keating.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. An Elks ritual will be at 7:00 p.m.
His Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. directly at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield.
Burial with Full Military Honors will be on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. directly at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT 06457.
