Obituary of Anna Chateauneuf

Anna Weston Chateauneuf, age 91, devoted wife to the late Ernest Chateauneuf, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2022 in her home. 

Born in Fairfield on June 5, 1931, She was the daughter to the late Richard and Anna Vad Weston, and a lifelong resident of Fairfield. Anna was an Accounts Payable Specialist for Peoples Bank until her retirement in 1986. Anna and her beloved Ernie loved to travel together, visit and entertain their family and friends, especially for Sunday dinners and holiday celebrations. 

She loved her family and found great joy in raising her niece, Dora Lappin, of Stratford, and her daughter, Nicole Harris, of Milford. Additionally, Anna is survived by three nephews, Carl Fogg of Nevada, Jeff Weston, of Trumbull, David Weston, of Milford; as well as, several more nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. In addition to her loving husband Ernest, she was predeceased by her siblings, Richard Weston and Patricia Babcock.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her funeral will be on Friday, September 2nd, at 11 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
