I cannot tell you how sad I was when I found out that Lou passed away. I think about all the wonderful times we had with Rosemary, Lou, John & I. We saw each other every week-end and they were the good old days. When Rosemary passed away I felt it was a blessing since she was so sick. I will always cherish her memory. When my husband John passed away, our foursome was getting smaller - it was only Lou and I. It felt like it was yesterday when Brian Heffler, Lou & I had lunch at the Spotted Horse. You would never know Lou was sick he looked so good. I can still hear his infectious laugh. Now that Lou has passed away, it is only me to look back at all of the wonderful memories. My condolences to Lou's family. I will miss his larger than life personality. When I moved in next to Lou at Riverwalk, I remember how touched I was when he presented me with a bottle of home made wine !

Lou and Marianne took me on their bowling team when I was only 25 years old. They watched me meet my husband at the bowling alley and were always there for me. Lou was so special to me. He was like family and always cared and showed interest. He was a devoted father, husband and friend! The world is much dimmer without his light. We will cherish all the memories, wonderful dinners and visits to Connecticut and NY. We love you Lou.

I'm struggling to believe that this time has come. Uncle Lou with his larger than life personality. Oh, how I will miss him. He had the best laugh and endless enthusiasm. He was always there for me - for the best of times, and the worst. I will look back on our Thanksgiving's, Christmas Eve's, get togethers, graduations, births, etc., and think of how lucky I was to have him in my life. Thank you Karen for sharing your father with me all of these years.

Lou was so nice to everyone, when I first met him I did not think he was real. After spending more time with Lou, it was apparent that Lou was more than real. He was a special human being with an abundance of shared love. I was lucky to have known him.

Karen, your dad was an example of a true gentleman. And his love of life and curiosity was a great example to all of those around him. I am so glad I got to spend time with him during Uncle Tonys final days. You are lucky to have had such a wonderful Dad and lots of time with him. I am around should you want to travel somewhere or take a trip to Colorado. It would be great to shake it up a little. And I am in nyc the week of.November 10! Love to you!

My husband, John, & I knew Lou & his family when they lived in Merrick, NY. John & Lou worked together in NYC & commuted together for many years. Rosemarie, Lou, John & I became very close friends. We were a foursome & when they moved to Westport, CT, John & I followed them 4 yrs later. I kept in touch with Lou & was fortunate to have him as my friend when John passed away. I met him for lunch not too long ago with Brian Heffler & even though he was sick, he always had a great sense of humor & looked great. I can still hear his infectious laugh. I will cherish the pictures that I have of Lou when we were fortunate to have lunch and the friendship we shared. Unfortunately his sickness got the best of him & he will join Rosemarie, Marianne & all of his family. God Bless Him & may he Rest In Peace. With great sadness, Carole Hendrickson
