Obituary of Gennaro Montefuscoli

Gennaro J. Montefuscoli, Sr., age 60, beloved husband of Robin Greene, of Fairfield, passed away on January 13, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

In addition to his beloved wife Robin, he will be remembered by his daughter, Summer Lynn Clark-Smith, and her husband Andrew; his cherished granddaughter and light of his life, Elizabeth Lynn; his sisters, JoAnn Lowman and her husband Cliff, Louisa Dunn, and her husband David; his brother in law, Donovan Dunn; several nieces and nephews. They all loved and admired Gennaro so much. He was predeceased by his parents, Genaro and Louise DiSette Montefuscoli, his son, Gennaro J. Montefuscoli, Jr., and sister, Jeanne Dunn.

A graduate pf JM Wright Technical School in 1979, Gennaro's life was dedicated to his family. Holidays and vacations were always special and planned around his family and was enjoyed by all. As his children were growing up, he stayed involved wherever possible, helping coach their sport teams, sharing his love for the New York Yankees and Jets, and later, the occasional visits together to the casinos. His dear friends and family could always count on Gennaro to be ready to help when needed. His memory will be embraced by all whom he touched in life.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 9-11 AM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1130 AM in Holy Family Church 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. He will be laid to rest next to his son Gennaro, Jr. in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
