Obituary of Ana Pucko
Ana Puhovic Pucko, age 99, of Fairfield, wife of the late William Pucko, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
Born in Croatia, daughter of the late Ivan and Maria Mihalic Puhovic, Ana emigrated to the United States in 1968 and had lived in Fairfield since that time. She worked for the Heim Company for 17 years until her retirement. Ana was a longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Church, where she was a member of the KSJ Society and was a willing volunteer, baking for the various church functions.
Survivors include her son, Ivo Pozezanac, and his wife, Danuta, of Huntington; grandchildren, John Pozezanac, and his wife, Audrey, of South Windsor, CT and Suzana Veric, and her husband, Milan, of Croatia; great-grandchildren, Copper Pozezanac, of South Windsor and Sasa Veric, and his wife, Tina, and Vedran Veric; great-great granddaughters, Emili and Erin; as well as several nieces and nephews, all of Croatia. She was predeceased by her brother, Mato, and sister, Kata.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. directly at Holy Cross Church, 750 Tahmore Drive Fairfield. Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.
