Mary Ann Parker Skopp, age 84, of Fairfield, devoted and loving wife of the late Bernard J. Skopp, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Mary Ann was born and raised in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Antolics Parker, she graduated from Bassick High School and later went on to work for the Bridgeport Public Library and retired after 25 years of service as the head librarian of the Black Rock branch.
Mary Ann was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Cross Church where she belonged to the Ladies Guild and was a frequent volunteer for many church functions. Mary Ann was an avid reader and enjoyed swimming and knitting various items for cancer patients.
She was very strong willed and nothing would stop her from doing what and how she wanted to do things, she was outgoing and made the people she would meet feel like family. More than anything Mary Ann loved the times that she spent with her husband Bernard while traveling and riding along with him on his motorcycle.
She leaves behind several cousins and many friends.
