Obituary of David Gilmore

David Gilmore, age 62, of Milford, beloved husband of Ann Marie Mongillo Gilmore, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island, David moved to West Haven after his marriage to Ann Marie and later to Milford where they have lived for the past 23 years. David was the owner of D.W. David will be fondly remembered for his sarcastic and witty sense of humor, he enjoyed boating and fishing in Long Island Sound aboard the " Cha-Ching " and liked the times that he spent with his family and friends at the Miamogue Yacht Club. A loving husband and father, David will be greatly missed.

In addition to Ann Marie, his devoted wife of 26 years, David is survived by his children, David Edward Gilmore of Milford, Tiffany Gilmore of West Haven and Taylor Gilmore of Hamden and his mother Alma Gilmore of RI. He also leaves behind his brother William Gilmore  and sisters Cheri Gilmore and Kristen Gilmore, all of Rhode Island and Dale Schall of Colorado, his brothers in law and sisters in law Victoria and Eric Ossowski, Louis Mongillo, Louis Guglielmo, Mary and Michael Massella, Anthony and Peggie Mongillo, Joseph and Laura Mongillo, his mother in law Mary Mongillo Sr. as well as many nieces, nephews and his little furry best friends Pudding and Kitty.
