I am so sorry to hear that John passed away. My condolences to his wife and all his family. I work at the Black Rock post office and John would come in occasionally! Often, he would come in and speak of his loving family and the ice pavilion. I will miss him and the conversations that we would have. He was a very kind, caring man and will be greatly missed here!

My condolences to Kitt and all of John's children. I knew John as a man who truly loved his family and although he seemed to play a quiet background role in their lives, he was a large influence. He also seemed like a man who would be unchanged over the years and one that you could rely on for his steady manner. John was a good friend and although we didn't see much of each other he will be greatly missed in my life.
