Obituary of Mary Dorothy Pavliscak

Mary D. Pavliscak, 99, of Shelton, a former Bridgeport resident and widow of James J Pavliscak,Sr. died Tuesday March 6,2018 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Born in Stratford, CT on June 3, 1918 daughter of Michael and Caroline Hudak she was a Bridgeport resident most of her life. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Through the years, Mary always enjoyed the warm company of a large and close family.  

She is survived by her son and daughter in law Jim and Sharon Pavliscak of Shelton, daughter and son in law Carolyn and Arnold Salvesen of Cutler ME, a brother and sister in law Stephen and Barbara Hudak of Stratford. Seven grandchildren, Susan Altieri, Laurie O’Connor, Bonnie Haaga, Jason Kouloris, Sarah Schupp, and Eric and Adam Koopman. She also leaves three great grandchildren, Erin and Joshua Haaga and Persephone Altieri. Mary was predeceased by her daughter Judith Ann Koopman.

Friends may greet the family on Sunday March 11,2018  from 2 to 5 PM in the Lesko and Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield center. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home Monday at 11 AM. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s cemetery.
