Obituary of Michael DeLuca

Michael DeLuca, age 56, of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Born in Bridgeport on December 8, 1961, son of the late Cosimo ( Gus ) DeLuca and Mejken Larsen DeLuca, Mike was a lifelong city resident. He had worked with his father at the family owned Cortigiano Auto Center and more recently for the Cannondale Generator Co. Mike was very fond of his pet cats, he enjoyed fishing and especially loved the times that he spent cruising Long Island Sound aboard the ' Blackbeard ". He was a member of the East End Yacht Club and a former member of Miamogue Yacht Club. Survivors include his sisters, Suzet Ely and her husband Daniel of Shelton and Susan Wells and her husband Nicholas of Naugatuck, a niece Michelle Ely and nephew Sean Carroll an aunt Lena Schofield as well as several cousins. A memorial will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 11 am at the East End Yacht Club, 104 Bay St., Bridgeport.
