Helen Ando Filep, age 86, of Fairfield, wife of the late John Filep, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Born in Bridgeport, Helen was a Fairfield Town resident for most of her life. She had worked for Women's Physicians Health Services for many years until her retirement. She is survived by her children, John ( Rick ) Filep and his wife Cindy of Trumbull, daughters Beth Anne Rogers and her husband John of Fairfield and Lisa Filep of Phoenix, AZ. Helen leaves behind her grandchildren, Chance and Madison Filep, Zachary Filep and Logan Rogers and Caitlynn and Dylan Innacell as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Bert and Zoltan Ando and sisters Margaret Rozgonyi and Elizabeth George. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
