Obituary of Catherine T. Maguire

Catherine T. Savage Maguire, age 94, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Maguire, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 9, 2017.

Born in Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland to the late Richard and Elizabeth (Ferris) Savage, Catherine immigrated to New York in 1949 and lived in Fairfield for the last 10 years. Catherine had traveled the world for over 20 years working as a fashion stylist.

Catherine’s memory will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Helen Maguire, of New York City, Rory Maguire and his wife Ellen, of Patterson, NY, Deirdre Ullman, and her husband Robert, of Fairfield, and Ronan Maguire and his wife Marcie, of Ridgefield; ten grandchildren, Matthew, Patrick, Meghan, Kathryn, Brian, Ciara, Kerry, Marcie, Brendan, and Catherine. In addition to her devoted husband, Bernard, she was predeceased by a son, Brian Maguire, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 5-9 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her funeral will take place on Friday beginning at 930 AM in the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield, CT 06824. The interment will be held on Saturday in Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Boulevard, Woodside (Queens), NY 11377.
