Obituary of Margaret Csanadi

Margaret Elizabeth Baksay Csanadi, beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Csanadi, died Saturday December 9, 2017 at her home at Benchmark Split Rock in Shelton.

In addition to being and accomplished dressmaker and tailor, Margaret loved to cook, bake, and garden. Her meals for family, friends, holidays, and occasions large and small and her adherence to Hungarian traditions and the many special dishes and desserts were cherished by all. She refinished furniture and collected and restored dolls and loved to knit. Margaret still found the time and energy to give generously of her many talents to senior centers and other volunteer organizations.

A devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, Margaret’s memory will be lovingly be remembered by her sons, Robert Csanadi of Vermont, Timothy Csanadi, and his wife, Joy, of Rhode Island, Gary Csanadi, of Newtown, T. Allen Csanadi, of Texas, and Randolph Csanadi, of Texas; a sister, Irene Baksay, of Shelton; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to Tommy and her parents, Margaret was predeceased by Robert’s wife, Carolyn and Gary’s wife, Georgina; and three siblings, Louis Baksay, John Baksay, and Elizabeth Baksay Haydu.
