Obituary of Todd E. Stolze

Todd Edward Stolze, of Trumbull, a quiet hero to many, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. Todd, 49, is survived by his wife, Aquilina Faiella Stolze, his precious daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, (both of Trumbull), his parents, Ralph and Sandra Stolze of Jacksonville, FL, his brothers, Scott (Norwood, MA) and Chris (Towson, MD), nephew Zachary, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Todd's contributions included teaching and mentoring hundreds of students over the past 13 years as a History and Sociology teacher at Stratford High School. Todd also served as an assistant football coach, the head coach for outdoor track, the head coach for the bowling team and coached Powder Puff Football for Stratford High. Always engaged in his daughter's life and activities, Todd volunteered as an assistant coach for her basketball and soccer teams. Todd was blessed with an extraordinary memory of life's finer details and loved nostalgia, revisiting his past through old TV shows and childhood memories of relatives and friends. Todd graduated from Notre Dame Catholic HS (Fairfield) in 1986, where he was an All-Area offensive lineman on the football team. He later attended Southern Connecticut State University. Humble and quiet, Todd led by example and helped many behind the scenes as a coach, teacher and mentor. He advised and encouraged his daughter Sarah, his students and many athletes to do their best and leaves behind a legacy of impacting many kids in his community. A wonderful father, son, brother and friend, Todd will be greatly missed by all. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Sarah who he adored. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am directly at St. Emery's Church, 838 Kings Hwy, Fairfield with burial to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3-8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.
