My heartfelt condolences for the loss of your beloved, Alan. Please know that Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ is aware of your pain and they care for you. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) . Dear Niestemski, Pekar and Walker families,
Maria and I want to express our heartfelt condolences about the loss of Al. He was a wonderful friend who made the whole room light up when he came in. His concern about everything and everyone was second to none. He was without a doubt one of the most caring, giving, involved, and in touch people that we've ever met. His love for his fellow human beings was shown is everything he did, without fail ! Al never greeted a stranger, he met a new friend. His warmth and compassion are things that we'll carry with us through out our lives, and something that I personally try to copy.
Godspeed Dear Friend,
Love
John and Maria

Going to miss Al for sure. We didn't hang out all that much but when we did, it was always a good time. I remember a party many years ago near woodbridge/seymour area. He stood up out of the outdoor hot tub and steam was coming off his body and he was screaming "I AM A GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The home was owned by a guy named John. Al was always the life of a party. I am sure he will fit in at the big party in Heaven ........

Not even sure where to begin. We go back to being little kids together. I have and will always smile when I think about you. That my friend is the greatest gift that you gave to me and from everything that's been written and said in your memory you gave to everyone that knew you. You were blessed to be able to be one of the few people in this world to fullfill your childhood dreams. You got to do what you loved and be friends with some of the people you admired when you were a kid. God bless you and your memory. Thank you for being that guy that made the world a happier place wherever you where.
May your memory be eternal my childhood friend.

My condolences to the Niestemski family. I have known Al since way back when at NSS. He was always a friendly and funny guy. I last saw him in December while he was working at the Irish Club's Christmas Fair. He reminded me that he wanted me to give him a call the next time my sisters and I worked at a local soup kitchen. He wanted to help as well and was sorry to have missed the previous time due to his back surgery. That was him, always wanting to help, wherever he could. In case you're unaware of it, his passing is all over Facebook. So many are shocked and saddened. He truly was loved by all. I hope you find comfort and peace in knowing this. May he rest in peace.

Brother Al ... I remember way back when I was a weight lifter and you asked me to be your "tag-team partner when you first started to pursue your wrestling career ! Then I took my 2 daughters and my nephew to the KOC Hall in Fairfield to watch you wrestle as a "surprise" to my kids ! Once we arrived in the parking lot , I told them we were to see you wrestle ; they didn't want to go ! Once inside and seated , you came out of the back to say hello in your "special wrestling way" ! They were shocked , but excited ! During the first match there , I looked at my kids standing on their chairs routing for you ! To this day , all 3 love watching wrestling ! You are one special guy this earth has sadly lost ... love you man , God be with you !

I would like to start by saying to the Niestemski family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I have nothing but happy memories of "The Punisher". For several years, while living in Black Rock and Fairfield, I hosted an annual Pumpkin Carving party. Al never missed one, and even though he ALWAYS won the prize for "The Worst Pumpkin", he'd be among the first to arrive the following year, smiling with his carving pumpkin in hand! A good sport with a heart of gold, he will be greatly missed.
