Obituary of Scott Trautman
Scott Richard Trautman, age 46, beloved husband to Danika Kettledon Howey Trautman, of Fairfield, passed away on August 27, 2017.
In addition to his devoted wife Danika, he will be lovingly remembered by his cherished children, Courtney (13), William (11), and Samuel (9); as well as his parents, Diane Johnson and her husband Ed, of Naples, FL, Richard Trautman and his wife Dale, of Clinton; his sister, Tiffany Mahoney and her husband Jack, of Fairfield; Danika's parents, Greg and Barbara Howey, of North Branford; his brothers in law, Jason Howey and his wife Terese, Jonathan Howey, all of Madison; nieces and nephews, Tate, Charlie, and Mac Mahoney, Amanda Johnson, Ashton, Andrew, Erik, Gabrielle and Rachel Howey; several aunts and uncles; many friends and business colleagues.
Raised in Clinton and Madison, Scott graduated from Daniel Hand High School in 1990 and University of Tampa in 1994, where he received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Management. He also resided in Minneapolis, MN, and Westport before settling in Fairfield 12 years ago with his family. Scott served as a Director and Regional Vice President for Provell, Inc., Vice President of Business Development for Williams Lea, and senior Account Executive and Director for Gartner before becoming the Regional Director for Russell Investments (now London Stock Exchange).
Scott's gift to remember details enabled him to grow friendships worldwide. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially when it involved golfing, boating, skiing, or music. He was a member of both Patterson Country Club in Fairfield and Shelter Harbor Golf Club in Charlestown, RI. Boat runs to Block Island from the family's Charlestown vacation home, hanging out on Quonnie beach each summer, and skiing at Mount Snow in Vermont in the winter were among his favorite past times. He enjoyed concerts, regularly taking in shows at the Fairfield Theater Company. Scott's greatest life passion was for his family and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 30th, from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Friends are invited to a service to celebrate Scott's life on Thursday at 10:30 AM in Trinity Episcopal Church of Southport, 651 Pequot Avenue at Center Street. A reception will immediately follow.
