Obituary of Domenick Joseph Esposito
Domenick “Dom” J. Esposito
Dom was born on August 6, 1947 to Nancy and Ralph Esposito. He graduated from high school and went on to college graduating with a BS in accounting. After graduation he joined one of the large CPA firms where he spent a number of years in public accounting. He went on for a master’s degree from the Queen’s campus of St. John’s University. Later in his career he went to work for a mid-sized a public accounting firm where he was CEO. Finally, Dom joined his final mid-sized firm where he was instrumental in executing many mergers and acquisitions. As a CPA, Dom rose to heights in his profession accomplishing much. In his retirement, he established a consulting practice, wrote a book that would help accounting firms grow, and ran his business successfully until his death on September 22, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, his daughter, his granddaughter, and his son-in-law.
Dom was an amazing man. He cared very much for people and loved his family above all else. As a devoted husband, father (daddy), and grandfather (poppy), Dom celebrated all of the family victories both large and small. He encouraged all his girls (his wife, daughter, and granddaughter) to reach for the stars and not to quit until they reached their goals. When each of us hit the speed bumps in life, he was always there with words of encouragement that would help us heal. He always looked at the cup as half full being the eternal optimist. When he awoke in the morning, he began his day singing while showering. He enjoyed living and life was “good” as he would always say. He loved to sit with each of his girls and talk about their day and how it went. His interest in his girls was demonstrated by his willingness to listen and his eagerness to celebrate the high points of our days. He made life happy for all of us every day.
You are invited to share in a celebration of his life with visitation on Sunday, September 26th from 2 to 6 PM at the Lesko and Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road Fairfield, CT 08824.
