Obituary of Teresa Rainieri
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa (Terri) Rainieri, 74, on February 3, 2021.
Born in Barletta, Italy on October 8, 1946 to the late Pawel and Wiktoria (Popiel) Rodnicki, Terri spent some of her early years in England before emigrating to the United States in 1952. Terri attended Warren Harding High School, raised her family in Fairfield, and was the Assessor for the Town of Easton for 33 years before retiring in 2018. She recently had been serving as the Easton Fire District Assessor.
Terri was the loving and devoted mother of Patricia Rainieri of West Haven, Sandra Rainieri of Milford, and Teresa Rainieri of Fairfield. She was the dear sister of Elizabeth (Daniel) Fitzpatrick of Milford and the late Leslaw Rodnicki. She is also survived by her three grandsons who she adored spending time with, Chace Ardito and Payton and Tegan Sabo.
Terri had many hobbies and favorite pastimes. She loved to cook, crochet, shop, read, scrapbook and garden. She spent many joyful times attending concerts, Broadway shows, art events and movies. She so enjoyed going for long walks and vacationing with friends. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. Terri’s family and special friends will miss her more than words can express.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 1030 AM in Saint Pius X Church 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield (Mask wearing and social distancing will be observed for all services).
