I am so sorry and shocked for your loss. I attended the wake but was unable to gain access after an hour. I guess that speaks to how much he was loved and how people feel about your family. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kevin,
We all know that you don’t get to pick your family, but you do get to pick your friends. And then, maybe, you get lucky enough in this life to pick Friends who become Family.
You are a part of our family too, Kevin. We love you. We are aching with your family, with your Mom and Dad, and William. We will always miss you. Thank you for our time together, for all of the laughter that we shared, for letting us know the most genuine parts of you. You have been a part of our happiest times….a part of memories that last forever.
These are only a few quick pics and not even the ones I wanted to find, I'll add them when I get them….weekends, time skiing, time at the beach, vacations, Sunday dinners. Inspiring times and simple times.
We promise to celebrate your life Kev. Always. Much love, The Tierney’s….Brian, Jen, Liam and Nolan.
We send this poem by John O’Donohue to your family with
love:
On the Death of the Beloved
Though we need to weep your loss,
You dwell in that safe place in our hearts,
Where no storm or night or pain can reach you.
Your love was like the dawn
Brightening over our lives
Awakening beneath the dark
A further adventure of color.
The sound of your voice
Found for us
A new music
That brightened everything.
Whatever you enfolded in your gaze
Quickened in the joy of its being;
You placed smiles like flowers
On the altar of the heart.
Your mind always sparkled
With wonder at things.
Though your days here were brief,
Your spirit was live, awake, complete.
We look towards each other no longer
From the old distance of our names;
Now you dwell inside the rhythm of breath,
As close to us as we are to ourselves.
Though we cannot see you with outward eyes,
We know our soul's gaze is upon your face,
Smiling back at us from within everything
To which we bring our best refinement.
Let us not look for you only in memory,
Where we would grow lonely without you.
You would want us to find you in presence,
Beside us when beauty brightens,
When kindness glows
And music echoes eternal tones.
When orchids brighten the earth,
Darkest winter has turned to spring;
May this dark grief flower with hope
In every heart that loves you.
May you continue to inspire us:
To enter each day with a generous heart.
To serve the call of courage and love
Until we see your beautiful face again
In that land where there is no more separation,
Where all tears will be wiped from our mind,
And where we will never lose you again.

Kind, caring, compassionate, selfless - just a few of the words that come to my family's mind when we think of Kevin. Our hearts are broken and we are left feeling empty. Kevin, we will miss you terribly and we will always hold you close to our hearts - we promise to be here for and take care of your mom and dad and Willy, helping them heal from their unimaginable loss. We love you so much and we just know that you are at peace, so that brings us some comfort. All our love, The Hios Family

My condolences to Kevin's family. I spent a week with Kevin on an ASP Service Trip and experienced his wonderful personality first hand. Kevin was a hard worker, fun kid, compassionate and caring. I enjoyed his company, and like so many others, I'm heart broken. He was on the trip for the right reason...he wanted to help a family less fortunate. That says a lot about him. I'm thankful for my time with Kevin and will truly miss him. Prayers to his family and friends.

My heart breaks for you and your entire family as you navigate this unspeakably sad time in the wake of Kevin's tragic passing. I distinctly remember meeting Kevin 2 years ago when my daughter, Caroline, went as his date to a 9th grade dance. I remember him coming up to me, shaking my hand and introducing himself and I couldn't have been more impressed with what an uncharacteristically polite, poised and special young man he was. Wishing you strength, healing and comfort for the difficult days ahead. Please know that you are surrounded by love and prayers from this entire town and beyond. Kevin touched many many people in his all too brief time here.
My very deepest sympathy and condolences on the loss of your beautiful boy. May he rest in peace in God's loving arms.

Kevin, you are my friend, neighbor, teammate and homeroom bud. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to grow up with. I will never forget our neighborhood shenanigans, like playing manhunt and all the bike rides. From Lacrosse to Football to Soccer, you were with me through it all. In High School, we shared the same homeroom. I will always admire you being able to speak your mind and all the laughs we shared. Love u KEV!

I’ll never forget our 8th grade English class I had with kev and Connor. Mrs. Bertrand our teacher at the time was like our best friend. We all bonded so well and had such a strong relationship with her. One day we thought it would be funny to send her an email with a picture of “the squad” because we were all together hanging out. Next day we go into her class and the picture is printed out and hung on her wall. I’ll never forget that 8th grade English class and all the amazing memories we had together in that class. Love you kev I’ll see you again Bromigo ❤️
