Obituary of John Bencze
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Bencze, of Bridgeport, was 65 years old; born on October 26, 1955, when the good Lord decided to wrap him into His loving arms on January 5, 2021, after five years of continued health issues, remaining positive throughout. He was a life long resident of Bridgeport.
He worked as a painter and held various lines of work before a fall from painting limited his working years. John had a kind and sensitive heart, always willing to help others, enjoyed sharing in conversation, loved to cook and a good one at that, fishing at St. Mary’s by the Sea, joking around, laying in the sun, and was not afraid of dying, saying, “No matter what happens in life to me I know that I have God with me.” John loved his dog Buster, who now has a loving home, and a big thank you to Sarah, who cared for Buster before finding a home for him, his friend Deryck Millan and next door neighbor, Denny for their care, concern and friendship.
No one can take away the memories that are held deep with the hearts of his family and friends, as well as the ache of missing him, deeply felt by his dearest sister, Anne Marie Chorobik, RN, of Seymour, who accompanied him to just about all his doctor‘s appointments, various nursing homes and hospital stays; his loving daughter, Danielle Bencze; son, Derek Bencze; eight grandchildren, and Pat Jastermsky his ex wife, all of New Hampshire. He is predeceased by his parents, Wilma and John S. Bencze; grandparents, Marie and Stephen Bencze, Anna and Anthony Czipot; a son, Matthew Bencze; and grandson, Jackson Krueger Isenberg.
A huge thank you to Dr. Brian King, Vascular Surgeon, Drs. Robert Davis, and Denisa Riera DPM, and Dr. Neal Fischbach, Oncology for your caring and dedication in your professions of healthcare, also to the various nursing homes where John had his care over the years.
If you wish to donate in John's memory, you may to the American Lung Association, Vascular Association, Animal Shelter or any of your choice.
May the Lord Bless all who touched John’s life and he yours. There will be no calling hours and at a later date a memorial service will take place.
