Obituary of Paul Merten

Paul Merten, age 82, of Southport, beloved husband of Gerda Woehlke Merten, entered into eternal life, on Tuesday, December 9, 2020.
Paul was born on March 15, 1938 in Sajokaza, Hungary to the late Lajos and Ilona Soos Merten and immigrated to South Norwalk on February 14, 1957 to live with his family, Joseph and Theresa Soos. He worked at United States Surgical and retired as a senior metals engineer in August of 2009.
In addition to his loving wife, Gerda, whom he met at the Norwalk Quartette Club on Saturday, February 18, 1961, Paul's memory will be lovingly remembered by two sisters-in-law, Irene and Juci; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his six brothers and sisters, Elizabeth, Louis, Steve, Frank, Julius, and Helen.
