Obituary of Giovanna Perini

Giovanna (Ivanka) Perini, age 86, of Shelton, entered into eternal life on November 5, 2020. Giovanna had worked as a machine operator and retired from Bead Chain after 35 years and Lacey Manufacturing after 10 years, both in Bridgeport. She had resided in Shelton for over 35 years after living in Bridgeport for 25 years. Giovanna was a loving mother, avid gardener, and a phenomenal cook. She had such a zest for life. If there was music playing, her feet would be moving. She always had a welcoming smile, but at the same time, was a force to be reckoned with. She loved her church and was an avid member and volunteer. Many will recall both. Giovanna had many friends and was loved by both family and friends who will always cherish their time spent with her. Her memory will be lovingly remembered by her son, Drago Perini, and his wife, Linda, of Shelton; sisters, Ann Venier and Mia Venier; and brother, Vittoro I. Venier, all of Derby; nephew, Victor Venier, and his wife, Maria, and their son, Luke, of Seymour; nieces Amy Venier, of Bridgeport, Lisa Noonan, and her children, Nicole and Robert Noonan, all of Bridgeport; and niece, Loly Hlade, son Nicholas and husband, Bogdan, of CA. She was predeceased by her parents, Vido and Anna Venier; and a sister, Branka Hlade, and her husband, Ivan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. directly at Holy Cross Church, 750 Tahmore Drive, Fairfield, CT 06825. Interment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
