Terribly sad news. Sympathies to all the Brawley family and friends. I thought Pete always brought it. The only time The FP 1970 Football team was behind all season was a game where Pete was injured and could not play.

The Loux family is so saddened by the loss of another one of Stratfords finest. We are so glad we had the opportunity to know Pete, share his love of life and his family and bask in his ever present smile. May you all find the peace he would want you to have. We know he and Patty are standing side by side now, sharing a smile and a laugh as they watch over us, just as they always did.

To the Brawley Family, especially Erin: I knew Peter during my time at the Peppermill in Westport. He was one of the most genial, pleasant, funny people I have ever known and had the pleasure to work with. After my time at the mill, I lived in DC for 10 years. When I returned to CT, I ran into Peter during his time with the RTC. He was the same guy, and it was great to see him again. It was with deep sadness that I read of his passing. Those of you who knew him well through the years have my envy. Erin, my deepest condolences for your loss. I know he loved you deeply back then, and he surely must have until his last day.

Erin, I know everyone is in shock with Peter’s passing. I still can’t believe it. This is the second time this week we have been asked to write a memory of someone who passed away.
Although there are several things I could say, the one that sticks out in my mind (and you may remember this one) is the time we were at Short Beach watching the boys playing soccer. Charlie was sitting on my lap when all of a sudden a ball came flying in his direction and hit him in the head, sending him into the lap of the person next to me. It knocked him out cold. They called for the ambulance to take him to the hospital. I went with him in the ambulance, leaving the other kids there. Gene, of course, was away for the weekend, so I was alone. When I got to the hospital, who was there waiting for me, but Peter. He took it upon himself to go to the hospital to be there for me. Having gone in the ambulance, I left my car behind (along with my other kids). Someone took them home and stayed with them. Peter knew I was alone and didn’t have a way to get home. He picked us up and drove us to your house to get my car. We went home (Charlie was diagnosed with a concussion, but was otherwise fine) That didn’t stop Peter though. He called the next day to check up on us.
That was the kind of man Peter was!
I will never forget it.
All the Sullivans are praying that God will hold all of you in the palms of His hands now and forever.

Hi, I’m Gary McCormik from Texas. I grew up going to CT ever other summer to visit family in the Stratford/Bridgeport area. Most memorable was visiting the Pancak’s in Lordship. That’s where I met Peter thru my cousins Billy and Barbara. Spent a out of time going to the beach and doing great things with Peter and my cousins. Came back to CT in 2014 (50 years later) tonattend my Aunt Ann’s funeral and ran in to Peter after the service at “Off the Hook” with my cousins. What a joy to meet up with my old friend. He literally gave me the hat off his head because I admired it so much. Wearing everyday to remember Peter and his friendship. May you Rest In Peace my friend and my God’s Blessings be with your family

I am truly devastated by this news. I just can't grasp that this is real. I remember your wedding at the beach, all of your kids being born and buried in a whole by the water in front of your parents house on the beach. Happy Hours on the beach, watching the two of you sail every day. That smile, even when he had his full bearded face, the smile still stood out! Again, I am devastated and cannot believe this... I will keep all of you in my prayers. Erin, you may not feel this way now, but you are one lucky lady, you have been blessed with a truly exceptional family! I love you all! God bless you!
