I remember every baseball season trying to rattle Mr. Perez about the Phillies being better than the Mets. He would never take the bait. Every time he would simply remind me that they both would disappoint us in the end. Mr. Perez and the entire Perez family has always been so warm and welcoming to me and my own family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I wish I could be there to pay my respects and celebrate his life.
