RIP Aunt Pat. I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to see you or that you never got to meet your grand nephews and niece. May you rest in peace with Uncle Dick. Much love, Emiko and Marcia.

To the Oburchay Family I send my deepest sympathy to you all. Pat "Big O" was so wonderful to my son's and I. I have wonderful memories of Pat from my younger years to now. I well always remember the time spent at church in the kitchen she taught me so much and also allowing me to be part of her life. I will truly miss her loved being with her at church and at her home. Big O you will be missed more then you know. I love you.

We remember Pat's great laugh and beautiful smile at United Congregational Church. She always helped sort rummage with white gloves - at our Annual Rummage Sale. We also remember great Choir parties held in the Penthouse at Fayerweather Towers, in Bridgeport.
Rest in peace. Leslie & Richard Farrell

The only time I met with Aunt Pat alone was in 2005. I was in town and Pat an I arranged to meet at her home in Black Rock. In short order, talk of family gatherings turned to food and off we went to Trader Joe’s so Pat could make me her new favorite hors d’oeuvre, Saga Bleu cheese and a cracker with dates and nuts. Pat was right, it was delicious. We sat on her back deck, with cheese, crackers and white wine, watching a brilliant thunder storm move across Long Island Sound (Pat said she’d never sat outside in a storm before) and talked. “Well, you know...” was the opener and we talked for an hour about family past and present (Pat was so proud of Chris and Jeanine, Laurie, Sean and Meaghan) and when the novelty of the storm wore thin we moved the conversation indoors. It was a memorable night.
Charming, confident, hard working, a woman of faith, to me Pat exuded a sense of optimistic reality. Life could be difficult but you needed to get on with it because there were people and places to be enjoyed and things that needed doing.
Pat lived her life fully, in her own distinctive manner. Godspeed, well done beautiful lady.
