I came to Bridgeport in the late 1950s when my father Dr. Albert W. Sheckells became the minister at First Baptist Church Bridgeport. She and Gather were loyal members and I remember her as beautiful in appearance and spirit. I believe she may be the last member of First Baptist to continue with the church from that time when my dad became the pastor. Perhaps 1957?
