Dear Evelyn and Family'
I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. This was such a shock to me as he looked like the picture of health when I last saw him about two weeks ago. He was a very kind hearted and pleasant resident at the Bridges memory care facility. When I first met him at an activity he gave me a big smile and thoroughly enjoyed himself.
He's now in a better place resting. God bless you all at this sad time.
Richard Kelly (Margaret's husband from the Bridges).

Bill kept our Nation safe during his many years as an officer in the US Army. He contributed countless hours of personal time making each military unit that he was part of, the best it could be. Although retired from the Armed Forces he was truly a Soldier for life. He had a military ethos in his business career displaying strong mentorship. His leadership stood out in his faith community. He taught his family devotion to the US Flag. Yet, he was not staid in his ways. He was open to change and found joy in welcoming new members to his family.
A final salute to you Colonel ! Rest in Peace.
Colonel Paul Trahan, US Army (Retired) and Matthew Kelley

Rest in Peace, Bill
I am the son of Charles & Jennie Garbarini, Grandson of Louis J Garbarini Grocery store owner from 1100 State St. Bridgeport.
I knew you from Our store next door to your Mom & Dads house.
You were a gentleman who always had a kind word to say to me & my sister Roberta who passed in 2018.
My Dad always enjoyed your visits when you came home from the Army to see your Mom & Dad.
I was very young then, but I remember that your whole family were very nice people to chat with.
Rest in Peace old friend.
Sincerely, Louis E Garbarini

I am sad to have lost a dear friend. however I rejoice for the new life he will have. Bill was a very special person, he lit up a room when he entered. It was a special light, a warm glow, a soft and reassuring glow. He was a gentleman, you could tell that he was walking with God and God was walking with him. He was a man to be admired and man to seek out as a friend.
I have known only one other person who had those qualities, my mentor Igor Sikrosky, the man who wrote the book 'The Message of the Lord's Prayer'. Above and beyond success in the business world, he was a man of God. So it was with my experience with Bill. In my opinion, he ws a successful businessman, and a successful man of faith and Godly works.
There a certian quality about Bill, that when you were with him, you were at peace. He may now be in peace with the angels, but his effect on all of us will be long felt. My prayer goes out to his family, and to all those who held him close in their hearts.
I regret that Yvie and I will not be able to attend his burial service.
I shed a tear for his leaving us, a smile in the hope of his new life, knowing full well that his "MEMORY WILL BE ETERNAL"
With love and the comfort that our Lord provides us
