Viola Puleo Rice, age 94, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Walter Rice, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in St. Vincent's Medical Center.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Paul and Rose Martarano Puleo, Viola had lived in Bridgeport for most of her life. She had worked as a bookkeeper for various local businesses until her retirement. Viola was a very giving person, especially to children's charities.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, her devoted nieces, Louise Macchiarelli, Rose Ann Zmarzlak, Fred DeFelice, Joseph Capuano, Evette Zawadski, Michelle Cihal, Cynthia Hutchinson, and Donald Puleo as well as many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Arnold.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6 at 12 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with entombment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Stratford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am until the time of services. Viola's family would like to express their thanks to her devoted aide, Annette Williams for the wonderful care that she gave Viola over the years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes Chidrens Research Hospital
