Obituary of Barbara Marie Methot

Barbara Marie Methot of 184 Federal Street Fairfield, died on May 24th at St Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, CT.

She was 79 years old.  She is survived by  daughter Lynne Methot, son-in-law Michael Toledo and twin granddaughters Daphne and Drew of Norwalk as well as her niece Lisa Pribesh and nephew John Pribesh, Jr, children of her deceased sister Patricia Pribesh and John Pribesh, Sr.  Barbara was married to Lawrence G. Methot, MD and had another daughter Andrea Methot, both deceased. She is predeceased by her parents Andrew and Margaret Marzik.

Barbara grew up in Bridgeport moved to Trumbull to raise her family and has lived in Fairfield the last 24 years. She was a nurse in the 1960’s then became a mother and homemaker.  She dedicated a lot of her time to charity and non-profit work.  In 2009 she developed an illness that left her handicapped.  At home she concentrated on her cat companions,  jigsaw puzzle collection and family.  

There will be a mass on Wednesday May 29th at 10:30 am at Notre Dame of Easton, 655 Morehouse road, Easton  CT, followed by a burial at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Rd Trumbull  CT.
