Barbara Yurkon Febish, age 82, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Raymond R. Febish, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

Born in West Wyoming, PA on August 14, 1936, daughter of the late Stanley and Eleanor Zdrojeski Yurkon. Barbara was a graduate of Swoyersville High School, Class of 1954. After her marriage in 1964, she moved from Swoyersville to Bridgeport, where she lived for 54 years throughout which time she was a parishioner of the Assumption Church of Fairfield.  Mrs. Febish spent her time raising her two daughters as well as running her own business as a bookkeeper. In addition, she was a tax preparer at H&R Block for almost 40 years. Barbara was an avid reader and could be seen with a book in her hand and a cup of tea by her side almost every evening. She was very creative in many areas, including painting, ceramics and sewing. She made countless Halloween and dance costumes, as well as family heirlooms such as Christening gowns, wedding dresses and veils which have been passed down over the years across the family.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Febish Jones and her husband Clifford of Fairfield and grandsons Ridge and Spencer and Susanne Febish Ulmer and her husband Charles of Rye, NY and granddaughters Katelin, Kellie and Kourtney. Barbara also leaves behind her sister Sylvia Malak and her husband Paul of Shavertown, PA, her brother Stanley Yurkon Jr. and his wife Joanne of Beaufort, SC as well as nephews Paul John Malak, Jeffrey John Malak, Michael Yurkon, and niece Paulette Yurkon Hall and their families.
