Because of a bad cold immediately followed by a terrible fight with Covid, I just shockingly learned of Eddie’s passing last night as the Swamp Hogs show was dedicated to him. I’d known Eddie only for a few short months, having introduced himself as “Eddie Spaghetti,” so “that way you won’t forget my name, I’m tall and skinny like spaghetti.” It wasn’t until weeks into knowing him I learned his last name and was like… “hey, you know there are these two great guys Jimmy and a dude everyone calls catfish…”. Oh the joyful laugh we had. Eddie, I definitely won’t forget you.
We’d clicked just talking about life, always sharing a big hug hello, lots of laughs, he loved me sharing awkward online dating stories that made him smile and laugh so big. He regularly talking about actually loving his work and being excited for his future. He was such a bright light. To his whole family, I am so sorry for your loss. Eddie truly was someone I always looked forward to seeing, and I was literally looking for last night as it was one of my first nights back out in Black Rock after finally feeling well. What a shock for everyone who loves him. I’m so sorry he was suffering, I’m so sorry for your family’s loss, and truly can say Eddie was a great young man, a great friend, and that his smile, laugh, and kind heart touched so many of us. I miss you Eddie Spaghetti. Rest easy!
