Obituary of Andrew James Colimitra

Andrew James Colimitra, age 88, of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Born in Bridgeport, April 26, 1933, son of the late Dimitrie and Fanica Babiana Colimitra, Andrew was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. He was a graduate of Bassick High School and later the University of Maryland. He went on to a career as an Account Executive for the Nielson Ratings Company of Manhattan. Andrew's passion was Art and many of the political cartoons he created were published in the Ct Post. He was a longtime member of St. Dimitrie Church. Andrew will be fondly remembered as a very charismatic, bright and talented individual. He is survived by his brother Thomas Colimitra, a cousin, Andrei Colimitra and two nieces. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 17 at 11 am directly at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
