Obituary of Teresa Horvath

The world has lost a shining light. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Teresa (Trish, Terri) Horvath, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

On May 6th, Trish was diagnosed with a butterfly glioblastoma. Her struggle was short, but intense.

A graduate of Bassick High School and Post University, Trish was a project manager for AT&T for over thirty years. Upon retirement, she purchased a vacation home in Port Saint Lucie, Florida with the ultimate goal of building a new home in Sebastian, Florida and spending her retirement years living her dream.

Trish was passionate about crafting and antiquing, collecting vintage linens and jewelry, up cycling her furniture bargains, and creating wonderful treasures. She loved to "lunch" with the ladies and more than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Trish loved her movies and music of the thirties, forties and fifties, but in her true eclectic style, the car radio was always blasting classic rock.

She had a generous spirit and despite her no-nonsense attitude about some things, she always gave her time and effort to help friends who were down on their luck or who just needed a hand. She would always donate to those less fortunate. During the pandemic of the last year and a half, she would grocery shop every Tuesday and make a sizable donation to the food shelters in Port Saint Lucie that distributed food on Wednesdays.

She leaves her mother, Pat (Piroska) Horvath; sister, Ginger Horvath Stehle; brother, Joseph Horvath; sister-in-law, Sandy; niece, Lindsey; nephew, Logan; brother-in-law, William Stehle; and many cousins from Hungary and the Netherlands. She was predeceased by her father, Frank Horvath and grandparents.

The family would like to thank the wonderful people who supported us during this time. You hold a special place in our hearts.

As per her wishes, there will be no religious services. Other arrangements will be addressed at a later date.
