Obituary of Robert W. Klinko

Robert "Bob" Klinko, age 89, of Lakeland, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2021. Robert was born on June 27, 1931 to the late Stephen and Mary Klinko. Robert was married to Anne Gosnell on August 8, 1958. He was a mechanic at Loh Ford for many years where he retired in 1993. After retiring, he relocated from Connecticut to Florida with his loving wife to enjoy his retirement.

Robert is predeceased by his wife, Anne Klinko, and his two daughters Kerry Piro and Susan "Susie" Speed. Robert is survived by his daughter, Lisa Piccirillo and her husband John of Milford, CT; his granddaughter Tracy Piro of Auburndale, Florida; his sister-in-law Sylvia Klinko of Milord,CT; along with many loving nieces and nephews. Robert enjoyed gardening with his godson Jimmy Klinko, playing cards with his dear friends Barbara, Charlene, Sandy, and his granddaughter Tracy when he was living in Florida. When recently staying in Connecticut, he enjoyed "Friday Night Game Night" with his loving niece Cindy and nephew Jimmy and other family and friends. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and the Tampa Bay Rays baseball games. Robert cherished and was very fond of his dog Romeo. 

A mass of remembrance for Robert will be held at 10 am on May 21, 2021 at St. Emery's Church on 838 Kings Hwy E, Fairfield. Internment will be held privately. In Lieu of flowers, those that wish to remember Robert may make a donation in his memory to the American Heart Association or ASPCA.
