Dearest Michéle,
I hope you continue to feel the mountains of love from all of us who haven’t joined you yet, but we’re fortunate to be one of your friends. We continue to learn everyday from your compassion for others and zest for life. You taught me many lessons though you were unaware of it at the time. Perhaps I was as well. You taught me how to forgive and the importance forgiving. By example you taught me the importance of helping others (in your own backyard to use as an example) who are less fortunate. Because of that I continue to get so much joy, as you surely did when you graced me with your kindnesses. Every time I do I share with the recipient why I do it and then I ask them to pay the gesture forward in any way they can. The tradition of paying a kindness forward continues!
The love of your life is with you everyday just as much as he is with you. That special connection between you is something many don’t ever experience in their lifetime, and/or not necessarily for as long as yours did. I am so happy you both met at such a young age as it was a blessed gift from someone looking out for you both! You were given an unmeasurable gift. One that allowed you to be inseparable for as long as you were doing and experiencing as many things as you could. That was a gift you equally treasured and and never took for granted.
I know your birthday is coming up! What a very special day it was when you entered this world. I thank you for being a role model of perseverance, faith, hope, strength and courage throughout your life. Thank you also for sharing your infectious laugh with us. I am still able to hear it! It always makes me smile and warms my heart.
I am always thinking you. As brave as you were, I only wish I could have been there for you during the rough times you endured along your journey.
Thank you again for what we shared with each other as I know all of your friendships had their very own special ingredients. What a gift for us.
