Obituary of Margaret A. Kuharec
Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Margaret A. Kuharec passed away peacefully on March 9 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and Fairfield. Margaret was a graduate of Lauralton Hall, St. Vincent's School of Nursing, and
Manhattanville College. She then earned her Master's degree in nursing management from Fairfield University. She retired from the Bridgeport Hospital where she was an administrative nurse for many years.
Devoted catholic all of her life, she was very involved with her beloved church, Holy Cross Parish in Fairfield CT, continuing the work of her parents that were
the original founders. She had a lovely voice and sang in the choir for many years.
Her friends Dr. and Mrs. Frank and Fran Federico and their daughter Fran with family, Lidija and Tony Klaric and family, and her relatives in Slovenia as well as
the Parish of the Holy Cross Church will lovingly remember Margaret's memory. We would like to thank her longtime live-in caregiver Mavis Mcanuff and the Jewish senior services for their care and compassion.
Mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, followed by interment in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Cross Church, 750 Tahmore Drive, Fairfield, CT 06825.
